Sorbonne proposal 2024

Contents proposal for the visit of the students of the Master of Social and Cultural Geography of the Sorbonne University from 20 to 26th April 2024.

Framework

For this fourth visit of the students we propose a framework that includes the industrial past of Calafou and its former inhabitants, its relationship with the village of Vallbona and the community work in relation to the secular pollution of the Anoia River.

Saturday

Arrival and guided visit

Arrival of the students at different times and guided visit of Calafou in french language.

Sunday

Community work day

During the first day students and Calafou inhabitants will have a jornada de curro (community working day) to meet each other and leave some phisical change in the architectural and human geography of the place.

A request has been made to the rehabilitation Área de Gestión (managing group) so they can plan the activities of the day needed by Calafou.

Monday

Speculative fiction & Design thinking. Narratives for social transformation with Kozzak

Morning: Presentation of the educational project "Speculative fiction and social transformation in Vallbona d'Anoia" (Calafou) + methodologies and theoric approach. TAGS: Specular fiction, design thinking, literature, Ucronia.

Evening: workshop/simulation of methodological experimentation based on the design of narratives (ucronia) inspired by alternative pasts that would have led us to new desirable futures generating narratives based on historical images of Calafou and the area around.

Tuesday

Sant Jordi day & interviews with past inhabitants of Calafou

Morning: visit to the Sant Jordi parade.

Evening: interviews with former inhabitants of Calafou.

Wednesday

Haikurt and collage with Xose and Nani

Continue the work of the first day. This time using the Haikurt technique and the collage.

Thursday

Anoia Natural Reserve with Xose and Milena

Morning: Presentation of local historical and environmental problems and the Anoia Natural Reserve project.

Evening: River walk and sludge extraction for the detection of heavy metals in the riverside. If wind conditions let it, kite aerial photograpy.
