How to plug a new network device?
Before plugging it to the network
1. Make sure it does 'not serve any DHCP leases. If you're not sure about what this means ask to the net-admin closest to you.
2. Set up manually an IP address for the device. You should look on suk:/etc/hosts for an available address coherently to the already assigned addresses. Document the address that you're gonna use.
3. Set up the proper gateway: 172.31.16.4
4. Set up the proper netmask: 255.255.240.0
Plugging it to the network
1. Insert smoothly the cable in the designated ethernet port until you hear a confirmation sound.
After plugging it to the network
1. Remember to update the Network Map repo.
