Krysia i Michał (Dźwiedź)

We are a biologist-artist duo. We came to Calafou to get to know the community and it's activities. Meanwhile we started to research the topic of the river and the feral nature around the colony. Every Friday we made walks upstream and downstream the Anoia River. Krysia kept on gathering objects and traces from its surroundings and experimenting with them - pebbles, old textile or river clay. Every second day Michał did morning observations of birds. We talked with different people living or visiting Calafou and got inspired by each and every conversation. The zine is a way to gather some of these different findings, streams and encounters we had during the stay in Calafou.

Krysia created this zine about the Anoia River and Michal this map about birds location surrounding Calafou. You can also read Michal blog about their residency in Calafou here.
